A Nonstop Shop

Nonstop Liberal Arts Institute launched an online store this week where consumers can buy Nonstop apparel and accessories. The site, (www.cafepress.com/nonstopinst ) run through CafePress, allows Nonstop to sell promotional items without keeping them in stock.

According to Robin Heise, Recruitment Coordinator, “Community members will be able to help create new promo ideas.” However, that has yet to have been worked out. Heise says information will be made available as soon as possible.

When announced at Community Meeting, a few students were concerned that they did not know who was running the store or where it came from. Further discussion diminished their fears.

All-Star Record Statement

The All-Star Record is a joint venture of a collective of former editors and staff of The Record and The Blaze. The project was initiated by the Community Managers of Summer ‘08, in order to inform those outside of Yellow Springs about the planning going on for Nonstop Antioch.

From The Editor – Edward Perkins

At a time like this, I hardly know what to say. We should all be celebrating the success of so many of our peers, who have worked hard, grown, struggled, and given their all to graduate. We should all revel in their achievement, and it should be an inspiration to this entire institution. Alas, an ominous cloud hangs over this campus, blocking the radiance of this otherwise brilliant day. After 155 years of progressive teaching, real-world education, and academic excellence, this institution will be condemned to the pages of history, an idea and memory still certainly, but a living entity no longer. I guess I am between two minds. Half of me wants to celebrate Antioch College, be positive, and follow Bryan’s lead, thanking all my closest friends and the staff and faculty who have made a profound impact on my life.
